Education Program

Dear Educator,

Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre, in addition to rehabilitating sick, injured, orphaned or displaced wildlife, also offers education programs. These can be booked to take place between September and April each year. The elementary and secondary presentations have been developed to match the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum expectations for each grade.

Brian Salt, the founder and director of Salthaven, is a skilled presenter whose aim is not only to engage and educate his audiences, but also to inspire them to develop empathy, a greater awareness of the natural world and to become responsible future stewards of the environment.

In the Fall and Winter each year, Brian presents to elementary, secondary and university students and to service clubs and community groups.  He is well respected as both an expert in his field and also for his ability to inspire others.
